There are two entries for Rye in the database. One is Grain Rye (1980) and one is simply Rye (1942)
The Grain Rye entry has less information and no human uses or ecological functions, and also doesn't have a species name (the scientific name just lists the genus Secale).

We will hide that and use the latter until more information comes in..
